Common questions patients have about Tixel

What does it feel like?

Tixel treatment is fast and easy to tolerate. Depending on the area, we might apply a numbing cream for your comfort. You'll feel a warm sensation as the Tixel handpiece glides over your skin. In some cases, multiple passes may be needed for the best results.

What results can I expect?

You'll notice results gradually as your skin builds collagen. For most patients, the best results come about 4 to 6 weeks after treatment, with smoother, more even, and firmer skin. Depending on your needs, you might benefit from several treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to reach your goals. To keep your skin glowing, we suggest visiting us for maintenance treatments every 6 months.

How it Tixel different?

Tixel is safe for all skin types because it transfers less heat to tissue compared to procedures like intense pulsed light (IPL). This makes it a fantastic choice alternative to laser and radiofrequency (RF) treatments, offering similar results with fewer aftereffects and less downtime.

What is recoverly like?

Tixel is great for our busy patients since it's less invasive, meaning less downtime. Your skin's top layer stays intact, so there's no need to worry about bleeding or oozing afterward. You might have slight redness and swelling, but you can get back to your normal routine within hours and apply makeup just 24 hours later. For the best results, we suggest avoiding sun exposure, skipping the sauna or hot tub, and using gentle skincare products for up to a week after treatment.

Who qualifies as an ideal candidate for treatment?

If you are dealing with issues like wrinkles, uneven skin tone, or hyperpigmentation? A Tixel treatment could be perfect for you! This gentle device works wonders on the face, neck, chest, and even delicate areas around the eyes and mouth. Plus, it’s safe for all skin types and tones, unlike many other laser and light-based treatments.
